BabyH2T: Summer Infant Slumber Buddy

As I said in my last Babyh2t post, I am writing up thoughts on a few of the products I was lucky enough to test out for Summer Infant who stock a huge range of things for little ones. My last post was our favourite piece which was the camera system, but Arthur's favourite is by far the slumber buddyAnything that helps him sleep is obviously of peak interest to me right now, as it is with any new parent I imagine, and there are loads of versions of these on the market that you might have heard of, sleep aids that have white noise or womb sounds that help get bubs to settle. Before he came along we received  one of the most popular sleep buddies on the market as a gift and that has always lived in in his bedside sleeper. But when Summer Infant wanted us to try out their slumber buddy also, how could we resist considering it comes in lots of different adorable forms? Coming in shapes from a puppy or a bee to the elephant we have, the slumber buddy range is fantastic value for money and we use this for Arthur napping in the daytime downstairs in the By Your Bed Sleeper but we also use it in the early hours upstairs with us as it has a secret weapon that the competitors don't...

What is ingenious about this little beauty is the gorgeous light projecting feature that means you get the moon and stars projected on the walls and ceiling in various colours along with soothing sounds too. Arthur is obsessed by his wee stars and could watch them for a super long time which has been dreamy for us in the early hours when you desperately need an extra half hours kip. The buddies come in a range of styles, and are a fab price at £24.99 as the batteries last ages luckily, and I love that it has a choice of automatic shut off times as well as the lullabies and nature sounds too. They are well made and so sweet sitting guarding his naps, he is old enough now to appreciate it as something fun to look at and not just a soothing aid. We know when we settle him into his big boy room ( weeep), he is going to love this lighting it up and will hopefully help the transition seem a bit more familiar with his beloved stars travelling with him.

This would make such a good baby shower gift thanks to its multi functions that will last ages and I love that the different options for it mean you can tailor it a friend or their nursery too. Having not heard  of a slumber buddy before, I know wouldn't be without him and its a top recommendation from us!

I have just been looking on the site and noticed there is now the option for a little soother that mimics the heartbeat for use on the go. Arthur loves white noise in his pram so I am going to check this out as a travel companion, plus look how cute...
