A quick round up for anyone heading into Glasgow this weekend as there are lots of newness kicking about that is well worth checking out!
Just last night I popped into the brand spanking new ( and absolutely GORGEOUS) Cambridge Satchel Company store in Royal Exchange Square. Not only is it one of the prettiest shops I have ever been in but it is lovely to be able to go in and peruse their stunning bags that I have been lusting after for so long. This has opened just in time for Christmas shopping which is handy as I cannot think of many people who would not be over the moon unwrapping a personally monogrammed fine leather bag on the big day. I love the level of service they provide and the quality is just next level. I left with a wish list of far too many things- I cant wait to get back in and narrow it down. Something in every colour isn't too much to ask for, is it??
If you are taking yourself along West End way at some point you would be hard pushed to find a better fuelling stop than the new Juice Garden shop that has opened right on Byers Road. With not just a fine list of specially blended juices and smoothies but also a superb healthy menu to boot, this is the place to go to blast out the hangover or stop for a little boost in the midst of all your shopping. There is a city centre venue for those sticking to town too where you can get that same healthy kick located handily on Renfield Street!
I was also lucky enough to try the new express treatments menu at the Rainbow Rooms in Royal Exchange Square ( now made famous by the amazing new BBC series Do or Dye which is well worth catching up on!) I went for the HD brows with the lovely Alison who preened and plucked them to perfection. It is so nice and relaxing to be pampered just off such a bustling part of town which is perfect for those looking to neaten up, just not necessarily in the eyeline of a hundred Christmas shoppers! The new menu includes shellac manis and pedis/ spray tans and make up applications and with prices from £15 it is a fantastic place to get ready for hitting the town.
And for those of you who follow me on instagram or twitter, you will know I am a HUGE Barras fan and cannot recommend heading there of a weekend enough. Thanks to some amazing new stalls in the antique centre such as the incredible guys at the Beatroot Lace bizarre they have really helped make it so accessible for all and their stall is jam packed with some of the coolest vintage stuff I have seen in ages and at amazing prices. They also happen to run one of the best independent fairs I have been to in ages at the Art School and the next one is coming up next weekend so keep some pennies from your Christmas Shopping to go and treat yourself there!
If you hit up any of the new hot spots this weekend I would love to hear what you think so be sure to tweet me @beautyh2t
