An enchanted dolls' house, an evil governess, and a nutcracker who may just be a handsome prince in disguise - this winter, prepare to enter a magical new world...
I had the most amazing Saturday night and it is all thanks to the The Scottish Ballet and their incredible take on The Nutcracker- I have been walking on air since and just had to share. I was bubbling with anticipation and excitement in the lead up to the night thanks to the trailer above- following on from their success with Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella I knew we were in for a truly spellbinding night and it was everything I could of expected and more.
My boyfriend came along with me and this was his first experience at the Ballet and he LOVED it, I had no idea how he would find it- but he thought it was incredible and I am so glad I took him along to something that he would not usually attend. Since I have started going along to the Ballet I have loved seeing the variety of people and ages in the audience and watching many having a brand new experience. Standing at the bar or in the queue at the loos it is lovely to hear so much excited chatter about the dancers and performances- it really creates a magic in a theatre that I have never experienced before.
I cannot recommend enough that you catch this electrifying production if you can, it is the perfect way to get yourself in the festive spirit this year and an experience to really treasure. You can even get tickets on the day for only £10 if you are under 26 or not in work currently which is an absolute bargain for a truly beautiful evening out.
