Paula's Choice Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream

Anti Aging products, when should you start using them? Being the ripe old age of 25 ( almost 26...) I am not quite at the obsessively wrinkle hunting stage quite yet but my hands are something I do find myself sitting obsessing over. People spend hours in front of the mirror and on treatments making sure they have iron flat youthful skin on their face, but then you just have to look at their hands to easily spot their true age! With that in mind I find myself slapping on the hand cream a few times a day, and I love working my way through different ones to find the right for me: not greasy, quick absorbing and at a good price.

I am a big fan of Paula Begouins, the founder of Paulas Choice products because of her wonderful writing on skincare, I love her clear cut advice and approach to helping lots of skin care problems, so i was intrigued to try out the RESIST Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream, and see if it matched up to my checklist.

Of the cream Paula's Choice say:

•Shields hands from sun damage, aging, and brown spots

•Contains gentle mineral actives for broad-spectrum protection

•Antioxidants defend against signs of aging and stimulate collagen production

•Leaves hands feeling soft, smooth, and perfectly moisturized

•Proven emollients ease and prevent dryness so your hands look younger

•100% fragrance- and colorant-free

I have been trying this out for a few weeks right now, mainly using it at night for a good moisture boost while I sleep, and I am sad to say, whilst the cream is good for me I am not sure it is good enough to warrant the price tag of £19 for 50ml. I think it is probably to do with my hands being in ok condition in the first place, no age spots or heavy wrinkles to watch the results on really, as a cream in general however  it is very nice to use. I love that the cream has SPF and I love how quickly it absorbs into my skin but the problem is really the amount you got for your money-  if I applied this as liberally as I do with my El Cheapo Lidl Hand Cream I would have run out within the week!

There are so many Paula's Choice products on my lust list, and I do have another one that I have loved using that I will share with you soon. But this one for me, is just wasted on my younger hands. I imagine it does work wonders for older skin so if you are in the right age range it is still worth checking out.

  1. My hands have always looked terribly old - I think it was the lack of sunscreen care. I already have age spots on them! D: I may need this...

  2. L'Occitane Shea Butter is probably my favourite, but also highly recommend Soap & Glory's Hand Food and Clarins' anti-aging hand cream. x
