Rave Review: Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream

One of my favourite youtube channels is Pixiwoo if you haven't already seen their videos, go and check out any number of the amazing looks the create. In a recent video Nic was talking about a face cream she had picked up in Boots and seeing as I am so easily persuaded, I ran out and bought it before the video even finished, well not quite as quick as that but not far off! The cream in question is Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream and right now it is on offer in Boots, buy one get one half price. One 50g tube costs £7.65 and it is worth every penny. I cannot give this moisturiser enough praise!

They Say:

Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream is an innovative new therapy specially formulated to intensively nourish an repair your skins natural barrier. Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream penetrates deeply to rehydrate facial skin relieving tightness and irritation and leaving it feeling smooth. Suitable for dry and sensitive skins. Free from fragrances, preservatives and emulsifiers.

I say:

This stuff feels incredible on, a little really does go a long way and leaves your skin feeling deeply soft and nourished. It is hard to describe just how this feels on the skin, it is like it almost leaves a strong barrier between your skin and the things you put on it, while still leaving a superb base for make up. Using this has taken away any need to use a primer for me, you need to leave time to let it sink right in, but after 10 minutes you are good to go.

What I was really impressed by was how long lasting the effect of this is, even at the end of the work day i could really feel the barrier was still there, it kept my make up on all day while keeping my skin still fully hydrated but not shiny or greasy in any way. It is not thick or too runny just a nice light cream to apply, slicking it on at night leaves me waking up to lovely skin. I am unclear yet how it will feel in the Summer when my skin is particularly greasy, but for my combo winter skin it is the best of both worlds and I actually look forward to putting it on in the morning and just had to share this wonder stuff with you all :) I know for anyone with dry skin this  stuff is going to smooth you right out, if you are tempted just so you know in shops it is stocked next to the E45 creams and the such like.

Anyone else used this yet?
